Freely channel problem in August 2026

Between 13 and 17 August 2026, a problem caused some Freely channels to show a black screen or error ETV6056. The problem was resolved on 17 August.
If your channels are working normally, there is nothing you need to do. You can use ITVX, the other player apps and the Restart button normally. The earlier advice to avoid them no longer applies.
If your Aero was affected during that period and its channels have never recovered, a factory reset may restore them. This clears your settings and app sign-ins, so you will need to set up your Aero again afterwards. For instructions, see How do I factory reset the Aero?.
For a new problem, or one that remains or returns after a reset, please contact us so we can investigate. The same error message can have a different cause.
