Update: Freely have told us the issue is resolved at their end. They’re still investigating the root cause, so the full picture isn’t yet known. Their advice for any device still affected is a factory reset, and in our testing so far that works – the channels come back and stay back.
What we’ve seen so far suggests a device that was actively using Freely while the fault was live (Thursday afternoon to Friday evening) stays stuck until it’s factory reset, while a device that wasn’t in use during that time won’t have been affected.
If your channels are back to normal: there’s nothing you need to do.
If your Aero is still missing channels or showing error ETV6056: go to Settings → System → Factory Reset, then run through first-time setup again and sign back into Freely and your apps. It takes about five minutes, and nothing else is lost. (During the outage a reset only helped for a few minutes, so we advised holding off – that no longer applies.)
If a factory reset doesn’t bring your channels back, please contact us and we’ll look into it with you.
Freely’s own notice is on their help page.
