Aero goes to standby on its own
By default, the Manhattan Aero goes into standby after 20 minutes of no activity. This is a UK energy-efficiency (ErP) requirement that applies to all set-top boxes.
From software 19.1021.153 (May 2026), you can change this behaviour:
Settings → System → Power & Energy Saving → Standby When Inactive
Switch it off if you want the Aero to stay awake all the time, for example if you use it as a radio or music player throughout the day. Leave it on if you’d rather it switched itself off after a period of inactivity to save energy.
If you don’t see this setting, your Aero may still be on an earlier software version. You can check for an update through Settings → System → Software Updates → Check for Updates.
