Disney+ freezes briefly during playback
If the picture on Disney+ freezes briefly during playback on the Manhattan Aero, this is a known issue with the Disney+ app rather than the Aero. It affects a number of devices that use the same app version, not just the Aero.
Disney have confirmed the fix is now being prioritised on their side, so we’re hopeful it will land soon. It will arrive automatically as a Disney+ app update – there’s nothing to change or reinstall once it does.
Workaround for now
The only known workaround is to lower the Disney+ quality setting, which reduces audio and video quality, so it’s not ideal:
- Open Disney+ on the Aero
- Open the sidebar menu
- Go to Settings → App settings → Save data and turn it on
Most customers prefer to wait for the proper fix rather than use this workaround. The Aero’s other apps aren’t affected.
