Disney+ freezes briefly during playback

If the picture on Disney+ freezes briefly during playback on the Manhattan Aero, this is a known issue with the Disney+ app rather than the Aero. It affects a number of devices that use the same app version, not just the Aero.

Disney are aware of it and working on a fix, which will arrive automatically as a Disney+ app update once it’s ready.

Workaround for now

The only known workaround is to lower the Disney+ quality setting, which reduces audio and video quality, so it’s not ideal:

  1. Open Disney+ on the Aero
  2. Open the sidebar menu
  3. Go to Settings → App settings → Save data and turn it on

Most customers prefer to wait for the proper fix rather than use this workaround. The Aero’s other apps aren’t affected.
