Manhattan Aero

Can I use a universal remote with Aero?

Yes – One For All remotes can be set up with a code, and remotes with a learning function can copy the Aero remote’s commands directly.

One For All remotes: code 6783

One For All’s dedicated setup code for the Aero is 6783. It joins their code database in the release planned for 21 August 2026.

Newer models set up through the One For All app (such as the Smart Control Pro family) use five-digit codes. Don’t enter 6783 with an extra zero – the four-digit and five-digit code formats aren’t interchangeable. Instead, pair the remote with the free One For All Advanced app and search for Manhattan Aero” when adding your device. If it isn’t listed, your app’s code database doesn’t include the Aero yet – check back after 21 August 2026.

Older models with four-digit codes entered on the remote itself don’t have 6783 in their built-in code lists and can’t download new codes – One For All can add the code to an individual remote, but the remote has to be sent in to them. Contact One For All support if you’d like to arrange that.

If your remote can’t get code 6783 yet

TV code 3810 (listed for Bush TVs) works with the Aero for most buttons – only Back and Home don’t respond. On One For All remotes with the Key Magic feature (such as the URC-7145), you can add those two buttons yourself once 3810 is set up:

  1. Press the MODE key to select the device key you’re using for the Aero.
  2. Hold the MAGIC key until the light blinks once, then twice, and stays lit.
  3. Enter 994 – the light blinks twice.
  4. Press MAGIC once.
  5. Enter the function code: 00575 for Home, or 00584 for Back.
  6. Press the button you want to assign the function to – the light blinks twice, and that button now works.

Run through it twice to add both buttons. We’ve tested this ourselves: with code 3810 plus Key Magic, both Home and Back work.

Code-based setup doesn’t need any changes on the Aero: it always listens for infrared commands, so a universal remote and the Aero’s own remote work happily side by side.

Remotes with a learning function

Universal remotes with a learning function, like Sofabaton and many One For All models, can learn the commands straight from the Aero remote:

  1. Unpair the Aero remote’s Bluetooth connection through Settings → Devices → Remote Control. The Aero remote will fall back to IR mode, which is what the universal remote can learn from.
  2. Use your universal remote’s learning function to copy the commands from the Aero remote.
  3. Once you’re done, you can re-pair the Aero remote over Bluetooth if you’d like to keep using it as your primary remote.

Limitation: voice control won’t work through a universal remote. The voice button is a Bluetooth feature of the Aero’s own remote.

Bluetooth pairing with third-party Bluetooth remotes may be possible, but isn’t something we’ve tested broadly. If you try it and have success or trouble, we’d be glad to hear about it.
