What USB drives and video formats work with the Aero?
The Manhattan Aero can play video from any USB drive that’s plugged into its data USB‑C port (not the red POWER port).
For best results:
- Format the drive as exFAT with MBR partitioning. FAT32 and NTFS work too, but the Aero loads them more slowly. GUID (GPT) drives aren’t supported
- Keep media files only on the drive where possible. A drive full of small files like documents and photos can take a long time to scan
- There’s no maximum drive size, so a large drive is fine
- For high-capacity hard drives that need more power than the Aero’s USB port can provide, use a powered drive
Supported video formats include MKV, MP4, MOV, AVI, 3GP, VOB, ASF/WMV, MPEG-PS, and MPEG-TS.
