Manhattan Product Warranties

We introduced new Warranty Terms and Conditions with the Manhattan T1. Please refer to the Warranty specific to your product.

Subject to the additional Terms and Conditions set forth below, Manhattan provides this Limited Warranty:

  • only to the person or entity that originally purchased the Hardware (“you” or the “end user”); and
  • only for Hardware purchased and delivered to the end user within the United Kingdom
Limited Warranty

Manhattan warrants that the Hardware is free from defects in materials and/or workmanship when the Hardware is subjected to normal use for a period of one year (twelve months) from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”). If Manhattan determines that the Hardware is defective (other than as specified below), Manhattan will either repair or replace the Hardware, to a functionally equivalent standard, at its option.

Any replacement Hardware will be covered by this warranty for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or for thirty days from the date that the replaced Hardware is delivered to the customer, whichever is longer. If the Warranty Period has expired or is otherwise not applicable (see “Scope and Limitation of Warranty” below), we will return the Hardware, to you, subject to shipping and handling charges.

This Limited Warranty does not affect your statutory and other rights under legislation governing the sale of consumer goods.

For end users qualifying for the Limited Warranty, Manhattan offers to extend the Warranty Period to two years from the date of purchase if:

  • within 30 days of purchase the purchaser completes the registration process at www.manhattan-tv.com/register ; and

How to return or fix Hardware which is still under warranty

Please access and review the online help resources at www.manhattan-tv.com/support before seeking warranty service. To return or obtain warranty service for your Hardware, you must first obtain a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) number from a Customer Support Representative (CSR) at Manhattan. Customer Support contact information can be found by visiting www.manhattan-tv.com/support. RAN numbers expire thirty days from issuance. Manhattan may attempt to troubleshoot a warranty-related problem prior to issuing a RAN number. Please be prepared to provide additional information upon request.

Once a RAN number is obtained, you must ship your Hardware, freight prepaid, together with proof of purchase and all requested accessories, in either the original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection, to the authorised Manhattan facility identified by the CSR. This distribution facility will be located in the United Kingdom, the address of which can be found at the following link: www.manhattan-tv.com/support. Failure to return any of the requested accessories could result in a delay and/or result in you being required to send the accessories for the service process to continue.

Important: When requesting a RAN number, if you have not already done so, you will be required to provide the following:

  • Model number (located on a label on the underside of the Hardware)
  • Serial number (located on a label on the underside of the Hardware)
  • Problem description
  • Software version (located in the System Information menu)
  • Place of purchase (reseller or online place of purchase)
  • Date of purchase
  • Your name, return shipping address and telephone number (P.O. boxes are not accepted).

The product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of original purchase. If there’s any defect due to faulty materials or workmanship, please contact us and have your receipt of purchase available for reference. The guarantee is subject to the following provisions:

  • It is only valid within the boundaries of the country of purchase.
  • The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance with the instructions contained in this user guide.
  • The guarantee will be rendered invalid if the digital box is re-sold or has been damaged by inexpert repair.
  • The manufacturer disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages.
  • This guarantee is in addition to, and does not diminish, your statutory or legal rights.
